BLOOM has taken international rights to The Strangers 2, the sequel to the 2008 hit which grossed over $82 million worldwide. Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door, 47 Meters Down) is on board to direct from a script written by Bryan Bertino, who wrote and directed the original, and Ben Ketai.

The Fyzz Facility Pictures' Wayne Marc Godfrey (The Foreigner, The Survivalist), Robert Jones (Centurion, The Usual Suspects), Mark Lane & James Harris (47 Meters Down, I Am Not A Serial Killer) are producing, in association with Relativity Media. BLOOM will be handling international sales at the European Film Market in Berlin.

The Strangers 2 follows a family whose road trip takes a turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park and after the power goes out they decide to hunker down for the night in a borrowed trailer. Under the cover of darkness three familiar masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test their every limit. Casting is underway with the US based shoot scheduled for the Summer.

BLOOM Alex Walton said; "I am truly scared every time I think of the original The Strangers movie, it is my favorite horror film of the past 10 years.  The screenplay will immediately satisfy any fan of the original and I'm confident of a growing audience for this genre around the world."

The Fyzz's Mark Lane said; "The Strangers redefined the home invasion genre by perfectly combining character and terror in a way that we rarely see. This is a sequel that has been eagerly awaited and we are delighted to deliver it to the fans."

Johannes Robert's said; "Working with The Fyzz and Bloom to bring the brilliant set-up from the first movie to a new generation and deliver a powerful sequel is incredibly exciting."

British director Roberts recently teamed with The Fyzz Facility Pictures for coming-of-age drama Hearts which he adapted with writing partner Ernest Riera from Stephen King's critically acclaimed novella Hearts in Atlantis. Roberts' previous films include horror film The Other Side of the Door for 20th Century Fox and shark thriller 47 Meters Down starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt which will have a wide release this summer.

Bertino most recently wrote and directed horror drama The Monster for A24, and is currently producing fantasy horror Stephanie for Blumhouse Productions.

Roberts is represented by CAA and 42, and Bertino by UTA.

At the EFM, BLOOM will also be handling S. Craig Zahler's Dragged Across Concrete starring Academy Award® Winner Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn and Woody Harrelson's one-shot live directorial debut Lost in London.

BLOOM's diversified slate also includes: Josh Trank's Fonzo starring Tom Hardy; Scott Cooper's Hostiles starring Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike; Martin Zandvliet's The Outsider starring Jared Leto; Federico D' Alessandro's Tau starring Maika Monroe and Ed Skrein; Paul Weitz's Bel Canto starring Julianne Moore and Ken Watanabe; Danny Strong's Rebel in the Rye starring Nicholas Hoult; George Clooney's Suburbicon starring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore; and Kate and Laura Mulleavy's Woodshock starring Kirsten Dunst.
