LA Arts: The Autry Presents Its 24th Annual Masters of the American West® Art Sale

The Autry Museum of the American West  present the first virtual Masters of the American West® Art Exhibition and Sale. Starting Saturday, February 27, see works by over sixty premier Western artists from the comfort of your own home.


The exhibition kicks off with the online sale of Miniatures paintings (smaller pieces priced around $800-$8,000) on February 27, and will follow up with the highly anticipated Major Works Art Sale (a fixed-price, random draw for larger works priced between $5,000-$100,000) on Saturday, March 13.

NYC Arts: Baryshnikov Arts Center Premieres March Performances

This prestigious exhibition and sale showcases paintings and sculptures by nationally recognized artists such as George Carlson, G. Russell Case, Tammy Garcia, Logan Maxwell Hagege, Mark Maggiori, Billy Schenck, and Terri Kelly Moyers. This year also welcomes new Masters artists Brett Allen Johnson, Joshua LaRock, and Ed Mell. Proceeds from Masters supports the Autry's diverse exhibitions, public programs, and educational offerings to teachers and schoolchildren.

For the first time ever, the exhibition and sale will be available online. All of the artwork in the Masters show will remain on view and available for purchase online through Sunday, April 11, 2021 at

"Masters 2021 is a little different than previous years. The show will be available online, giving everyone a chance to take a glimpse into the ever-vibrant and dynamic world of Western American art," said Amy Scott, the Autry's Executive Vice President for Research and Interpretation and Marilyn B. and Calvin B. Gross Curator of Visual Arts. "We are excited to share a wide range of Western art styles. From classic frontier stories to contemporary Native visions, Masters embraces a widening array of artists that together celebrate both the history and contemporary beauty of the West."

Join as Amy Scott, Executive Vice President of Research and Interpretation, engages painter Billy Schenck in a wide-ranging conversation.

Online Awards Presentation and Virtual Sale of Miniatures Begins

Masters officially opens with an online event and awards presentation on at noon, followed by the virtual sale of Miniatures at 1:00 p.m. PST. The sale of these small-scale paintings is a popular feature among seasoned collectors and newcomers alike. They are available online on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a 25% premium on the pricing which will go towards supporting the Autry. After March 13, Miniature paintings will be available at regular pricing.

OC Arts: Alexandra Grant at Orange County Museum of Art Collaborates with Cachetejack

Paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces by some of the nation's best Western artists will be sold at the online Major Works Art Sale, a fixed-price, random draw. Please see website for details on how to complete a ballot, which will be available from February 27 until 5:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 11.
